With an area of hundreds of square miles, to try and see all the sites where actions were fought would take days for even a cursory overview. Ideally, a two day tour covers the whole area. This is typically split into a full day for the British and Canadian sectors with the second day covering the American sector. The locations typically visited can be seen on the relevant pages.
Family Tours
An ideal starter for families is an overview day tour, focussing on a few specific agreed sites.
Bespoke Tours
For those wishing to retrace the steps of their relatives or examine the battlefields in more depth then a third day is recommended.
Tours can be conducted on any day of the year. Each tour follows a rough itinerary, although they are flexible to fit around your requests or interests as well as both the time of year and the state of the tide. The cheapest way is by staying at our accommodation and allowing our guide to be a passenger in your vehicle. Alternatively, our guide can pick you up and drop you off at your arranged accommodation or a transit point such as a local train station or Carpiquet Airport near Caen.
